US Culture Briefing: The American Experience
Our American Experience seminar is designed for employees and executives from abroad who are in the process of adapting to life in the United States. We analyze culture and its influence before examining more closely some of the specific roots of American culture. Topics include: The Historical Roots of Current American Life; The American Personality; Culture and Its Influence; The US at A Glance (People, Politics, Education); and American Values and Beliefs.
International Assignment Preparation (Expatriate Training)
Our expatriate training program helps prepare American executives, employees, and their family members for life overseas by focusing in on concepts and issues that will be central to their overseas experience. An analysis of the concept of culture, an identification of key characteristics of the home and target cultures, culture shock issues, and a discussion of the elements of a successful cultural adaptation are just some of the topics covered. Also fundamental is a destination country briefing that gives the soon to be expatriates a better idea of everyday life in their new destination culture. Ideal for those preparing for a long term assignment overseas or for those who find themselves traveling overseas frequently for business purposes or otherwise.
